Free enterprise conferences

Think tanks are sometimes described as “universities without students.” But that’s not always the case here at AEI.

I’m helping to organize a series of three conferences for undergraduates. These conferences will focus on free enterprise, and they will be held on weekends in March, April, and May. They will provide students with a terrific opportunity to interact with AEI scholars, and to deepen their understanding of how markets work.

The dates for the conferences are March 22-23, April 19-20, and May 10-11. The agenda for the March conference – and a link to the application form – is here.

If we are serious about understanding the world and making good policy, it’s important to keep questioning, challenging, and reevaluating ideas. In other words, it’s important to have a strong marketplace of ideas. I hope these conferences will contribute to that process by encouraging open dialogue, not just at the conferences but also on students’ campuses when they return and share what they’ve learned.
