    • Lets put another question, how far back to the records for guns go? 100 years (I doubt it) Note that sites say that you could likley do no more than find out when the gun was made, as other records were not kept. Anyway a gun that old would have changed hands several times since it was made, so that knowing that someones great great grandfather bought a gun, would not be useful info, since he might have sold it and the person today would not know anything about it.
