The likely nomination of Susan Rice as secretary of state has met with much conservative opposition due to her pronouncements surrounding the debacle in Benghazi. While I don’t disagree with that opposition, Susan Rice’s support for oppressive despots in Africa, even those despots that are allegedly friendly to the United States, should be enough to disqualify her from the post. Her eulogy of former Ethiopian dictator Meles Zenawi at his funeral is odious in the extreme (more on Zenawi here and here).
