‘Occupy Wall Street’ gets another prominent endorsement … from Kim Jong Il

Apparently Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi are not the only prominent leaders who have endorsed the aims of the “Occupy Wall Street” protests. Add to the list of OWS supporters the regime of North Korean strongman Kim Jong Il.

The Dear Leader’s ever-entertaining official mouthpiece, the Korean Central News Agency, reports:

Pyongyang, October 20 (KCNA)—”Occupy Wall Street” demonstration is … sounding a note of warning against the capitalist system. This was a stern judgment of unpopular system that brings exploitation, oppression, unemployment, and poverty to the popular masses…

Low-income earners’ pent-up wrath against avaricious big banks and companies that caused economic inequality finally gave its vent…

The capitalist society where money is everything is an unpopular one where the rich get ever richer while the poor ever poorer. In this society 1 percent of privileged class is granted all preferential treatment while 99 percent of working masses are forced into poverty and death…

The worsening global financial crisis proves that the capitalist society is a heaven for a handful of exploiters and oppressors but a hell for the majority of working class and that this kind of unpopular society can not last long.

Capitalism has nothing to do with the wellbeing of the people. The nature of the exploiting class never changes and the socio-class contradiction of capitalism gets acuter even though the world entered the new century…. The end of capitalism is one of inevitabilities of history.

Is there a word here with which the Occupy Wall Street protesters disagree?
