The Bad Kind of American Exceptionalism

There’s a frequent refrain on the left (and in some circles on the right) that the W. years were too friendly to business. I don’t want to defend the 2000s (the music was awful!) but it’s interesting to see what happened to corporate taxation in the United States under Bush II and compare it with what was going on everywhere else.


President Obama frequently disparages the Bush-era economic policies and believes the United States can learn much from other nations. I agree! He could start by slashing corporate tax rates the way the rest of the world has.
